Having lived most of her life with a compelling desire to "create", Shelley experimented with several mediums before she settled on figurative fiber sculptures or as she calls them "Spirit Keepers".  Her work is a celebration for the soul, a colorful mix and a primitive style commanding attention of the viewer.
 
Shelley expresses her visions through a labor intesive technique involving numerous layers of exotic and vintage textiles. Colors and materials are carefully chosen so that each sculpture radiates a unique energy.
 
A native of Southern California, Shelly is inspired through her travels visiting and exploring ancient cultures and myths.  Her work has recieved awards for their excellence, craftsmanship and creativity... maybe the magic does exist.
